Once there you will visit Homer’s stone or Daskalopetra meaning the “Teacher’s Stone”. According to the local legend, this is actually the stone where Homer was seating on and was narrating his poems. As it is known, Homer did never write his poems as he was probably blind, but he was narrating them to his students who were writing them for himself. Continue your tour with a panoramic drive through Mersinidi and Pantoukios to Lagada fishing village situated northeast. You will then proceed to Lagada. This picturesque village is located 16km northeast of Chios town It has an amazing natural beauty as the scenery combines the sea with the mountains. Residents of Lagada are mostly sailors or fishermen. In Lagada visitors can enjoy traditional appetizers and the best seafood on the island along its picturesque harbor. You will then return to your accommodation and it is here where the tour ends.
